<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinyl chloride-based resin mainly used for a battery separator, and having excellent powder coating properties and sinterability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a vinyl chloride-based resin obtained by a suspension polymerization method, and, to 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride-based monomer, a methyl cellulose derivative is used by 0.1 to 0.3 pts.wt. and an anionic surfactant is used by 0.08 to 0.15 pts.wt., and, at the completion of polymerization, a cationic surfactant is added, and the powder grain size of the obtained resin is 24 to 45 μm.
