<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main spindle device, in which radial support rigidity of a bearing case is improved in simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with: a housing 1; a main spindle 2 rotatably supported to the housing 1 through rolling bearing devices 3, 4, and 5; and the bearing case 6 disposed between the housing 1 and the rolling bearing device 4 to press the rolling bearing device 4 onto one side in the axial direction. Between the bearing case 6 and a sleeve member 1d (on the housing 1), a plurality of clearance parts and a plurality of pocket parts 66 having a larger gap width than the clearance parts are alternately provided along the circumference. To the clearance parts and the pocket parts 66, non-compression type fluid supplied from fluid supply ports provided on the other side in the axial direction is charged.
