<p>Disclosed is a clothes dryer which includes a chamber unit; a heat exchange unit which is arranged at the lower part of the chamber unit and has a circulation structure where a refrigerant discharged from a compressor is transferred to an evaporator via a liquid phase refrigerant transfer pipe and then the refrigerant is returned to the compressor via a gas phase refrigerant transfer pipe; and a drying unit where clothes can hang inside an inner chamber. In the disclosed invention, the chamber unit comprises the inner chamber accommodating the clothes; an outer chamber which is arranged to surround the inner chamber and is spaced from the inner chamber; an air transfer unit which transfers air through a gap between the inner chamber and the outer chamber; and a door which is arranged at the same side of the inner chamber and the outer chamber. The evaporator of the heat exchange unit is a laminated evaporator consisting of a plurality of layers which are arranged in a zigzag form and are connected with each other. The disclosed clothes dryer can exhibit maximum drying efficiency in a short time at low power by utilizing a difference in density of the saturated vapor which depends on the temperature of the vapor. In addition, the clothes dryer prevents shrinking of clothes during the drying process through low temperature drying. Moreover, since the rubbing of clothes is inhibited, the clothes dryer can prevent surface damages caused by friction. Also, the noise of the dryer can be minimized.</p> |
