PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE AND DRIVING METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device for enhancing the luminance of an image enlarged and projected on a screen, and a driving method thereof.

SOLUTION: The projection display device comprises: a first display panel for displaying a red image; a second display panel for displaying a green image; a third display panel for displaying a blue image, a first composition member which combines images displayed on the first to third display panels into a color image; a fourth display panel for displaying a white image; a second composition member which combines the color image with the white image; and a projection lens system which receives the image from the second composition member, and enlarges and projects the image on the screen.
