<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds and methods useful for chemopreventative treatment of diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, and multiple sclerosis. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are triterpenoid derivatives such as 2-cyano-3,12-dioxooleana-1,9-dien-28oic acid and 2-cyano-3,11-dioxooleana-1,12-dien-28oic acid, having effects of suppressing transcription and translation of inducible nitrogen oxide synthase and inducible cyclooxygenase genes, and preventing and treating the diseases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
