PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass lifting and lowering device for a vehicle, which can prevent the occurrence of a sag in an endless belt, even if the length of the endless belt is changed due to initial variation or aging deterioration. SOLUTION: A window regulator is attached to an inner panel of the vehicle so as to lift and lower a window glass by means of the endless belt. Belt teeth, which are formed on the inner surface of the endless belt, are meshed with a gear, and the gear is rotatively driven by a motor, so as to move the endless belt. In a meshing area in which the endless belt is meshed with the gear, a guide shoe 21 is provided on the backside of the endless belt, and the sag of the endless belt is removed by the guide shoe 21. Adjusting portions 32 at both the ends of the guide shoe 21 are supported by a spring 35, so that an interval between the adjusting portions 32, that is, the length of the guide shoe 21 can fluctuate.
