<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a connection resistance between an electrode tab and a rivet of an electrolytic capacitor and to prevent generating metal dust in the production process. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the electrode tab 4 derived from a capacitor element 1 and the rivet 5 buried in an opening seal plate 3 are connected via a washer 7, a recess 71 is disposed in the washer 7 so that the area in the vicinity of the central hole is thin in thickness, and a connection hole having a rising edge in the circumference for inserting the rivet is disposed in the end of the electrode tab 4, wherein the electrode tab is fixed by inserting this rising edge through the central hole of the washer and by flattening out the rivet so as to press the end of the rising edge to the recess of the washer.
