<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable casing for a display device and a display device using it with superior rigidity and lightness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display device 100 includes an LCD 300 and the casing 200 attached with the LCD 300. The casing 200 includes a substantially tabular chassis 210 having a reflection face 211A substantially facing an inner side face of the LCD 300 and a series of hollow ribs 214 along an extrusion direction in profile extrusion of resin, and a decorative layer 215 exposed to the reflection face 211A of the chassis 210 and an exterior integral with a decorative face 211B in an opposite side.
