摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-quality monitoring apparatus using an aquatic organism requiring less frequent washing of a water tank compared to a conventional apparatus and for using a water to be tested containing suspended matter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water-quality monitoring apparatus determines the presence or absence of a water-quality abnormality by continuously pouring the water to be tested 3 such as a factory disposal to the water tank 2 in which an aquatic organism 1 is grown, taking an image with an imaging device 5 while illuminating the aquatic organism 1 with a light source 4 and analyzing the image with an information analysis device 6, wherein the light source 4 emitting a light in the wavelength range for plants too difficult to use for photosynthesis is used and the apparatus is configured so that the suspended matter in the water to be tested 3 is not to be accumulated in the imaging range of the water tank.
