<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-based ink composition for a ballpoint pen hardly causing dripping. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The oil-based ink for a ballpoint pen comprises at least a coloring material, ethylene glycol ether and/or diethylene glycol ether having a boiling point of 160.5-194°C and molecular weight of 118.18-134.17, ethylene glycol ether and/or diethylene glycol ether having a boiling point of 85.2-149.8°C and molecular weight of 76.1-104.15, and a polymer compound comprising an acrylic acid monomer unit as a principal component and having a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester monomer unit.
