<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug delivery system which can control a drug-containing liposome with a magnetic energy from the outside of a body to release the drug at a target place in a needed time in a required amount. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Provided is a magnetically controllable liposome whose closed space is formed from a lipid bilayer membrane consisting basically of a phospholipid, characterized by including one or more fine magnetic particles magnetized in an identical direction in the lipid bilayer membrane to involve the drug in the closed space formed from the lipid bilayer membrane. Provided is the drug delivery system characterized by administering the magnetically controllable liposomes in a blood vessel system, adding a tilted magnetic field to transfer the positions of the liposomes and then adding a rotational magnetic field to break the lipid bilayer membranes, thereby releasing the drug at the target place.
