PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for highly selectively and efficiently producing a 4-perfluoroisopropylaniline from an inexpensive raw material. SOLUTION: Aminoaryl-containing fluoroalcohol is reacted with sulfuryl fluoride (SO<SB>2</SB>F<SB>2</SB>) in the coexistence of an organic base or "a salt or complex comprising an organic base and hydrogen fluoride" in the presence of an organic solvent. A nitrile is particularly desirable as the organic solvent, and a tertiary amine is particularly desirable as the organic base.
