<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a residual image overlapping on an image by high-dose irradiation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In order to carry out imaging for energy subtraction processing, high frame rate imaging is necessary to suppress effects of body motion of a subject (a motion artifact) during imaging. Because of such a situation, a residual image of a first image may overlap on a second image. Generation of such a problem is avoided by high-dose irradiation during the first imaging. In an embodiment of the invention, a radiographic image processing apparatus controls the quality of radiation generated by a radiation generating section 12 in such a way that high-dose irradiation is carried out during the first imaging and low-dose irradiation is carried out during the second imaging.
