PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily cope with a change of workpiece width without lowering the degree of cleanliness. SOLUTION: A roller 61 is provided for holding a strip workpiece 80 in the width direction. The roller 61 has a pair of holders 65 divided in the width direction to respectively hold the workpiece 80. Each of the pair of holders 65 has a plurality of divided bodies 65A that can be separated and integrated; urging means 71 for urging the plurality of divided bodies 65A in the integrating direction; and positioning parts for positioning the holder 65 in the width direction when the plurality of divided bodies 65A are integrated.
