PURPOSE: A sliding device of a portable information apparatus is provided to prevent foreign materials from flowing into the portable information apparatus through an opening unit. CONSTITUTION: A sliding device(17) of a portable information apparatus includes a fixing plate(20), a slider(30), an elastic force providing unit(40), a shielding plate(50), and an actuating unit. The fixing plate is combined with the first body. The slider has opening units(31a,32a) through which the cable passes and is combined with the second body. The elastic force providing unit is installed between the fixing plate and slider to provide the elastic force to the slider in the opening/closing direction.
