PURPOSE: A full color organic electroluminescent display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve brightness without the change of the voltage by forming a hole blocking layer in a red light emitting area. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(100) has a red light emitting area, a green light emitting area, and a blue light emitting area. A first electrode(120) is formed on the substrate. An organic film layer is formed on the first electrode. The organic film layer includes a red light emitting layer(130R), a green light emitting layer(130G), and a blue light emitting layer(130B). A second electrode(160) is formed over the front side of the substrate. The organic film layer has a hole implantation layer and an electron transport layer(150). A hole blocking layer(140) is formed on the red light emitting layer of the organic film layer. The hole blocking layer is made of the same material as the electron transport layer.
