The method involves rapidly decreasing temperature of a high-temperature component i.e. burner (100), in a gas turbine by partially supplying a liquid nitrogen to the high-temperature component via an inlet (50) of a premix burner (55). Chipping of deposits on the high-temperature component is provoked, and the chipped deposits are flushed out from the high-temperature component. A blade with a borehole is utilized in the premix burner of the gas turbine, where a storage container for coolant is provided with a connecting pipe. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for removing deposits on a high-temperature component.
