<p>The method involves irradiating codings (20) i.e. luminescent nanoparticle, in a closure (14) and an insert (16) arranged in a cardboard package (10) by electromagnetic excitation radiation (30) i.e. infrared radiation with wavelength of about 1500 nanometers. Electromagnetic radiation (32) is emitted by the codings and is high energetic or low energetic relative to the excitation radiation. Temporal characteristics, signal intensity and/or wavelength of the electromagnetic radiation are analyzed to detect whether the closure and the insert are provided in the package. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting an object in a package.</p> |
