A control system for a vehicle door latch system having a magnetically controlled first switch having a first switch state and a second switch state, and a magnetically controlled second switch having a first switch state and a second switch state. The latch system includes a latch and the control system defining a predetermined time period. The control system prevents opening of the latch upon detecting changing of state of the first and second switches from respective first switch state to respective second switch state within a time period less than the predetermined time period. The control system may prevent opening of the latch upon detecting a simultaneous changing of state of the first and second switches and this may actuate an alarm. One of the switches may be a key or user actuated lock switch that changes the latch state from locked to unlock. |
