New solubilisers and their use

Alkyl- and/or alkenylether mixture of alkyl- and/or alkenylpolyglycoside compound (I) is claimed. Alkyl- and/or alkenylether mixture of alkyl- and/or alkenylpolyglycoside compound of formula ((G m-R 1>)R 2>n) (I), is claimed, where at least 50 wt.% of the alkyl- and/or alkenylether contains a residue R 1>with carbon chain of >= 12. G : a residue with 5 or 6 carbon atoms; R 1>6-22C-alkyl and/or alkenyl residue in acetal formation; R 2>1-4C-alkyl and/or alkenyl group in ether formation; m : 1.2-1.8; and n : 1.4-2.6. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of (I), comprising reacting an alkyl and/or alkenylpolyglycoside compound of formula (Glu m-R 1>) (II) with an alkylating agent of formula (R 2>-X) (III); and (2) a composition comprising 0.1-20 wt.% of alkyl- and/or alkenylether mixture. X : a nucleophilic leaving group.
