<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct calibration so as to adjust a specified reference image chart to an image forming characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device is provided with an image forming portion and an image reading portion. A sample image is formed on a recording medium in the image forming portion and the formed sample image as well as the specified reference image is read from the above-mentioned image reading portion.
