PURPOSE: A method and a system for transmitting a message in a mobile communication terminal are provided to enable a communication service provider and a mobile communication terminal to transmit a message each other even though the communication service provider and the mobile communication terminal use different format messages. CONSTITUTION: A method for transmitting a message in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps. A message is written by a data coding scheme of a terminal(S600). An original communication service provider of a terminal is compared with a currently used communication service provider(S610). When the communication service provider of the terminal is not matched with the currently used communication service provider(S620), a message is transmitted to a message processing server of the original communication service provider of the terminal(S640).
