<p>The connecting rod has an elongated hole-shaped upper connecting rod eye (1) and a lower connecting rod eye (7). The lower connecting rod eye is connected to the upper connecting rod eye by a shaft extending in the connecting rod longitudinal direction. A shaft recess (61) is provided in the shaft. The shaft recess opens above and extends into the connecting rod longitudinal direction. A spring is placed in the spring fluid (62), particularly engine oil, such that a plunger (3) is pivoted in the connecting rod longitudinal direction.
