PURPOSE: A system for automatically replacing a background image and a method thereof are provided to replace the background image except for a specific object presented in an image with different images, automatically and infinitely. CONSTITUTION: A system for automatically replacing a background image comprises a specific object image separator(11), the second watermark insertion part(12) and a synthesized image output part(13). The specific object image separator separates an image corresponding to a specific object from the original image. The second watermark insertion part inserts a watermark into only an image to be replaced. The synthesized image output part synthesizes a background image into which the watermark is inserted with a separated specific object image.
