PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing the damage of hail is provided to enable a user to switch on the apparatus to cover cultivated land with a hail-preventing net, thereby minimizing the damage to crops. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing the damage of hail(10) comprises a plurality of vertical supporters(16), horizontal supporter(18), a plurality of arc guides(22), a pair of operating rods(28), mounting brackets(26), a pair of driving motors(30), rotation axes(32), hail-preventing net(34), and controller. The vertical supporters are installed at some distance from a cultivated land(14) for vegetables and fruits. The horizontal supporter is fixed to the each vertical supporter with the help of fastening loops. The arc guides are fixed to the horizontal supporter at some distance from each other. The arc guides has a high center and low edges. The both ends of the arc guides are connected by a wire. The operating rods is rotatably connected to the vertical supporter by a coupling pin(24). The operating rods are extended toward the arc guides. The mounting bracket is supported by the arc guides to move along the arc guides. The driving motor is installed on the mounting bracket. The rotation axes are extended in the longitudinal direction of the horizontal supporter and combined with each driving motor. The hail-preventing net is spread when each rotation axis is rotated by the driving motor and rolled on the rotation axis. The controller includes a switch(36) to control the driving direction of the driving motor. |
