The device has a semi-circular or elliptical shaped mold comprising a mold half (3) comprising a support (6) and mold block (8) defining a joint plane in a closed position of the mold. Each mold block has a shell (25) in which an impression is realized, where the impression partly forms a molding cavity (9) and a shell-holder (27) fixed to the support of the mold block. Removable spacers (28-31) are provided between the shell and the shell-holder so as to modify dimensional characteristics of the molding cavity without a need for intervention on the supports and the shell-holders.
