Disclosed is a method for efficiently producing a structure wherein an aromatic polymer is bonded to a base. Also disclosed is such a structure wherein the base is electrically conductive. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a structure, which comprises a step for polycondensing an aromatic compound represented by the formula (I) below in the presence of a polymerization catalyst and a base having a group represented by the formula (II) below.
