PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating virtual sound are provided to listen to the optimum sound by adjusting the audio signal even though the listener changes the position. CONSTITUTION: A virtual stereophonic implementation issue is as follows. A stereophonic is created the HRTF(Head Related Transfer Function) is used about the inputted audio signal(S710). The output directivity is formed using the sound beam. A speaker is selected to output the audio signal generated in HRTF and sound beam(S720). The audio signal is outputted on a generated stereophonic and the output directivity(S730).
