PURPOSE: A full ice detecting apparatus of an ice maker for a refrigerator is provided to deliver heat generated by a sensor heater to a full ice detection sensor by installing a sensor heater around the full ice detection sensor. CONSTITUTION: A full ice detecting apparatus of an ice maker for a refrigerator comprises a sensing unit, a full ice detection sensor, a sensor heater, and a controller. The ice maker is positioned in the space formed by an outer case(710) with an opened portion and a door opening and closing the opened portion of the outer case. The sensing unit senses the opening and closing of the door(720). The full ice detection sensor detects the full of the ice delivered from the ice maker. A sensor heater applies heat on the full ice detection sensor. The controller controls the operation of the sensor heater according to the opening and closing of the door sensed by the sensing unit.
