PURPOSE: A method for producing an alpha-glycerophosphorylcholine or its derivative is provided to massively produce in industry with simple and convenient process. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing alpha-glycerophosphorylcholine of the chemical formula 1 or its derivative comprises a step of performing ring-opening reaction of cholinephosphate of the chemical formula 2 with racemic of the chemical formula 3 and optically pure (S) or ®-glycidol under the presence of solution.
