PURPOSE: A protector system being mounted on a manifold and a control method are provided to control the flow of EGR gas according to the operation of EGR and the driving state of an engine and to prevent thermal damage of the manifold and obstruction of air flow. CONSTITUTION: A protector system comprises a protector(110) which controls a gas flow path of an EGR(10) flowing into a manifold(20) according to the working area, an actuator(120) which operates the protector, and an ECU(130) which controls the working area of the protector through the actuator. |
