PURPOSE: An engine of a synthesis gas generator is provided to ignite synthesis gas easily by regulating the air-fuel ratio of synthesis gas. CONSTITUTION: An engine of a synthesis gas generator comprises a carburetor(205) which controls the air-fuel ratio of an intake air and synthesis gas mixture, a compressor(206) which over-pressurizes the intake air and synthesis gas mixture, an engine(212) which burns the over-pressurized mixture from the compressor, an exhaust pipe(213) for discharging the exhaust gas generated in the engine, and a turbine(214) rotated by the exhaust gas of the exhaust pipe.
