The invention relates to a rigid axle for a utility vehicle, comprising two individual chassis struts (1, 2) forming a triangle in a common plane. On the ends of the struts, a joint (3, 4, 5, 6) is respectively connected to the vehicle body (7) and to the vehicle axle (8). According to the invention, at least on the side of the axle, an axial journal (9) is inserted into each chassis strut (1, 2) in order to connect the chassis struts (1, 2) to the vehicle axle (8).
