PURPOSE: A guide wire of a bipolar electrode mode and a catheter system using the same are provided to perform radio frequency ablation without a side effect by locally inducing coagulation necrosis in a lesion part. CONSTITUTION: A wire main body is made of a metal material, and is inserted to a tube of a human body. An insulation material is coated on an outer circumference of the wire main body in order to insulate a wire. A first electrode(53) is attached to one end part of the wire main body. A second electrode(54) is separated from the first electrode, and is attached to one end part of the wire main body. A first conducting wire(56) is attached to the first electrode in order to electrically connect a radio frequency generator to the first electrode. A second conducting wire(57) is attached to the second electrode in order to electrically connect the radio frequency generator to the second electrode. The second conducting wire is electrically insulated from the first conducting wire.
