PURPOSE: A compact 3-axis load cell is provided to improve measurement accuracy by removing interference between three force components by setting the output of an unloaded sensor unit to zero. CONSTITUTION: A compact 3-axis load cell(100) measuring the components of a force in x, y and z axes comprises a measuring plate(110) and a measuring unit(130). The measuring plate comprises a sensor unit(112) formed in a square ring shape with a through hole inside, a load transfer part(120) is protruded in the middle portion of the sensor unit, first and second sensing surfaces(116a,116b) formed on the top of the sensor unit and the through hole, and third and fourth sensing surfaces(116c,116d) formed on the bottom of the sensor unit and the through hole. The measuring unit has an x-, y-, and z-axis measuring units, each of which forms a bridge circuit to set the output of an unloaded sensor unit to zero.
