PURPOSE: A coolant compression cycle chiller with improved heat-transfer performance of an evaporator is provided to improve heat transmission of an evaporation tube of an evaporator and liquid coolant by forming a density division unit between a condenser and the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A coolant compression cycle chiller(10) with improved heat-transfer performance of an evaporator comprises a density division unit, and a supply line. The density division unit is connected to a condenser(12) and the evaporator(14). The density division unit divides coolant of 2 phase generated in a throttling process into liquid coolant(a) and gas coolant(b) due to the difference of density. The density division unit(18) and the evaporator are connected to the supply line. The supply line(20) comprises a liquid coolant supply line and a gas coolant supply line. The gas coolant supply line is branched from the liquid coolant supply line. The liquid coolant supply line(22) is connected to the upper end of the evaporator. The gas coolant supply line(24) is connected to the lower end of the evaporator.
