PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fertilizer composition and a cultivation method capable of timely supplying a proper amount of fertilizer components needed for a crop even in a cultivation environment where a temperature difference is present. SOLUTION: The fertilizer composition contains a first fertilizer group which comprises at least one kind of coated granular fertilizer containing a nitrogen component in the range of 1.0-2.0 (but 2.0 is not included) of a temperature dependent index K calculated by the following formula (1) and a second fertilizer group which comprises at least one kind of coated granular fertilizer containing a nitrogen component in the range of 2.0-3.0 of a temperature dependent index K. The difference of the maximum temperature dependent index of the coated granular fertilizer belonging to the first fertilizer group and the minimum temperature dependent index of the coated granular fertilizer belonging to the second fertilizer group is controlled to be 0.3 or more as an absolute value.
