<p>An aspect of the invention relates to a welding method comprising the steps of: - obtaining and/or providing geometrical bevel data of pipe end bevels of said first and second pipe end, - aligning the first and second pipe section and obtaining geometrical alignment data, and - automated welding of at least one welding pass, comprising steering of a welding torch and/or setting of welding parameters using said geometrical bevel and alignment data. Another aspect of the invention relates to a welding method comprising the steps of: - measuring the shape and volume of a weld gutter between said pipe ends as a function of a circumferential position, and - automated welding of at least one welding pass comprising steering of a welding torch and/or setting of welding parameters using the measured shape and volume of said weld gutter.</p> |
