<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift a transition position beyond a distance corresponding to one pixel when recording an image. <P>SOLUTION: In the image recording apparatus, with respect to each pixel value-change point in a pixel column corresponding to each light modulator element, a shift amount by which a transition position of an amount of output light from the light modulator element should be shifted in order to correct drawing shift is obtained. When the shift amount excesses a width in a scanning direction of a region on a substrate, which corresponds to one pixel 71, a pixel value of a pixel 71a of an object image is changed so that the pixel value-change point is moved by the number of pixels corresponding to an integral part of a value obtained by dividing the shift amount by the width, and the shift amount corresponding to the pixel value-change point is corrected to a value equivalent to a decimal part. A spatial light modulator is controlled on the basis of the object image after the change and shift amounts after the correction, thereby the image can be precisely recorded while shifting transition positions of amounts of output light from light modulator elements beyond the distance corresponding to one pixel when the image is recorded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
