PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the particle diameters of solid components contained in a grease which is suitable for the measurement of primary particles because it is made to hardly cause aggregation among solid components. SOLUTION: This invention provides a method of measuring the particle diameter of a solid component in a grease using as a sample a thickener dispersion obtained by mixing a solvent having an affinity for a base oil with a grease.
