<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator which reduces influence on a rotating shaft by a cogging torque generated by a means of supplying magnetic fields by absorbing yokes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a generator, three or more generating means including a magnet 14 with even-numbered magnetic poles disposed in the rotating direction of a rotating shaft 12 and a yoke with iron pieces 26a and 26b corresponding to the even-numbered magnetic poles of the magnet 14 adjacent to those magnetic poles and arranged on the rotating shaft 12 coaxially are connected by the rotating shaft 12. A magnet and yoke of one of the generating means and a magnet and yoke of other generating means are relatively rotated, respectively, and an attractive force of the magnet and an iron piece of the yoke of the one of the generating means are offset by an attractive force of the magnets and iron pieces of the yokes of other generating means.
