<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid emulsion cosmetic inhibiting the reduction of hardness and inhibiting the compact shrinkage, and having excellent use characteristics. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The solid emulsion cosmetic comprises a branched alkyl silicone-treated powder, and at least one wax selected from the group consisting of a rice wax, a carnauba wax, a mixed wax of a paraffin and a microcrystalline wax, and a mixed wax of a polyethylene wax and the microcrystalline wax.
