<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board elevating/lowering device of an automobile cargo compartment enabling engagement position of a board member to be switched by using an openable/closable guide member and smoothly carrying out the slide movement of the board member by preventing a slide pin not from being caught by a step-down part while securing the rigidity of the opening/closing tip of the guide member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A thin part 36 and a rib 37 are formed at the opening/closing tip 34 of the guide member 31. The smooth slide movement of the slide pin 20 is enabled while securing the rigidity of the opening/closing tip 34. A recess 29 to allow the rib 37 to be fitted therein is formed to correspond to the rib 37 of the guide member 31 at a slide surface 28 of an upper part of a tilt groove 25.
