<p>The invention relates to an in vitro method for detection and/or titration in vitro of an unconventional transmissible agent (UTA) or of a pathological conformational protein, a marker of infectivity linked to the UTA, in a sample, comprising: the replication or propagation, in cells in culture, of the UTA present in the sample, and then the repeated incubation with a substrate allowing the amplification of the UTA or of the pathological conformational protein, a non-pathological conformer of the UTA, before the determination of the presence and/or of the quantity of the UTA or of the pathological conformational protein in the sample.</p> |
