<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catch basin of three layer structure reduced in weight by making the outer diameter of the body smaller than the outer diameter of the opening, and to provide a method of manufacturing the catch basin. <P>SOLUTION: This catch basin 1 is made of a hard vinyl chloride comprising different materials of three or more layers in the wall thickness direction. The catch basin comprises a body section 3, an opening section 5 connected to the upper part o the sidewall 3b of the body section 3, a tubular outlet side drain pipe mounting section 7 projecting from the lower part of the sidewall 3b of the body section 3 sideways, and a tubular inlet side drain pipe mounting section 9. The inlet side drain pipe mounting section 9 projects from a body sidewall 3b above the outlet side drain pipe mounting section 7 in the direction orthogonal to the outlet side drain pipe mounting section 7. The outer diameter of the body section 3 is smaller than that of the opening section 5. The ratio of the projection of the outlet side drain pipe mounting section 7 by a wall thickness T to the recess of the connection section 9X between the inlet side drain pipe mounting section 9 and the body sidewall 3b by the wall thickness T is 1:1-1:3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
