<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable method and an apparatus for searching a database composed of both pieces of information about the Internet and a premium content. <P>SOLUTION: A method and a search apparatus for searching data of a database organize results of the search into a set of most relevant categories enabling a user to obtain only those pieces of data that are most relevant by clicking a mouse several times. According to search instruction from the user, the search apparatus searches the database which can include Internet data and premium content data to generate a search result list corresponding to a selected set of the data.
