<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the jaggy of an outline section in a high resolution image which is acquired by ultra-resolution processing. <P>SOLUTION: An ultra-resolution section generates one high resolution image from a plurality of low resolution images including position deviation. An arrangement position determination part arranges a plurality of low resolution images by shifting them on a common coordinate face based on position deviation value (lx) between a plurality of low resolution images, and determines the arrangement position (x) of the high resolution image on the common coordinate face. In this case, distances (d<SB>11</SB>, d<SB>21</SB>, d<SB>12</SB>, d<SB>22</SB>or d<SB>22</SB>') between pixels in the high resolution image and pixels in each low resolution image corresponding to those pixels are referenced, and the arrangement positions of the high resolution images are determined based on the variation of the distances.
