摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new hydride metal complex having a catalytic action to hydrogenate a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The hydride metal complex is represented by formula (4) or formula (6). The metal complex is reversibly changed to a lower atomic valence metal complex produced by dehydrogenation in the reaction while hydrogenating a substrate such as a benzaldehyde derivative to generate a benzyl alcohol derivative.
