PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stabilizing an ink temperature of a printing head. SOLUTION: Based on a target ejection temperature and a temperature detected by a buffer tank temperature detection part 60, a temperature correction amount due to ink quantity change is gained, based on a temperature fall amount corresponding to the temperature detected on an ambient temperature detection part 52, an ambient temperature correction amount is gained and, based on the temperature correction amount due to ink quantity change and the ambient temperature correction amount, a set temperature is determined based on these and a buffer tank temperature control part 58 is controlled. Based on a target outflow temperature of a buffer tank 56 and the temperature detected by the buffer tank temperature detection part 60, a disturbance temperature correction amount is gained, a time until ink reaches a printing head temperature control part 74 from a buffer tank temperature control part 58 is calculated by a reaching time calculation part 94, based on the temperature fall amount and a circulation quantity of the ink calculated by a circulation quantity calculation means 93, a circulation quantity temperature correction amount is gained and, based on the disturbance temperature correction amount, the circulation quantity temperature correction amount and a temperature detected by a printing head temperature detection part 76, a set temperature is determined and the printing head temperature control part 74 is controlled.
