PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a suspension capable of improving a riding comfort when traveling over a slanted road surface or the like. SOLUTION: A suspension characteristic control device 50 for controlling characteristic of a suspension 7 provided between a vehicle body 1 and wheels 3 is provided near each wheel in the vehicle body, respectively. The suspension characteristic control device 50 has a vertical motion state amount detection means 13 for detecting a vertical motion state amount of the vehicle body. The vertical motion state amount corresponding to the wheel 3fr serving as a reference is a reference vertical motion state amount among the vertical motion state amounts detected by the vertical motion state detection means. The characteristic of the suspension is controlled so as to reduce the difference between the vertical motion state amount corresponding to the other wheels 3rr/3fl/3rl and the reference vertical motion state amount.
